Dear Cherished Students
Recently, research has shown that well-designed learning experiences using several instructional media with different characteristics enable all students to utilise their most effective ways of learning and consequently exhibit the intended learning outcomes. Of late blended e-learning has been found to offer the possibility of changing learners’ attitudes not only as to where and when learning takes place, but in terms of what resources and tools can support learning and ways in which these might be used to achieve intended learning
outcomes. Accordingly, the blend of space, time and media offers new possibilities as to the sorts of activities students can carry out and the ways they can collaborate using available electronic tools to achieve intended learning outcomes. Blended learning also adds significantly greater opportunity for the learner to master the material and move towards transfer and performance.
